FINDINGS Project 1.0

The FINDINGS series is a public art initiative that highlights the achievements and contributions of women in science. Debuting in various cities across the United States starting in Fall 2020, the project seeks to blend artistic expression with scientific storytelling. While its primary aim is to reimagine science through vibrant public artworks, it also functions as a tribute to women in STEM fields.

At its core, the initiative underscores technology's potential to bridge gaps in time and space, fostering connections that would have been previously unfeasible. FINDINGS is accompanied by a free augmented reality (AR) mobile application, which enhances the visitor experience. For those attending in person, the AR features provide access to detailed 3D animations and supplementary contextual information about the science and narratives represented in the artwork. Furthermore, the app extends the project's reach by enabling individuals who are unable to visit in person to access the art digitally, integrating it into classrooms and homes through their smartphones.
